Fun Date Ideas

When you plan a date with that special girl you have been plotting to get a chance to be with for awhile, its natural you are excited. But that excitement at getting her all to yourself and maybe even getting a kiss is often replaced by some nervousness and sometimes out and out terror at the kind of impression you will make.

The best way to keep those butterflies in your stomach from taking you over entirely is to plan ahead. You want this date to tell her a lot about you. You want her to see that you are interesting, smart, romantic and maybe sexy. But the most important thing is that she realizes that a date with you will always be fun and exciting so when you call back for date number two, you are guaranteed she will respond with an enthusiastic "YES!".

So if you can come up with some fun date ideas to make each date from the first to the fiftieth interesting and creative, she will get the message that you are the kind of guy that makes life fun and exciting. If there is a state fair or amusement park in town, you have a natural way right there at your disposal to take her to a fun place full of rides and naughty things to eat and lots of energy all around you. Don't overlook that a trip through the fun house or a scary ride is a very good way to get her to hold on to you and be her big tough protector (as long as you aren't the scared one).

Outdoor activities always have the chance of being fun and getting you plenty of fresh air and exercise as well. If your date likes sports, you can take her to one of the big sporting events in town. But let's also keep our creativity going and take her to a sporting event that is totally meaningless. In the springtime, you can find literally dozens of little league baseball games you can attend for free in parks around town.

Nobody cares if you know anyone on the team and you can find a game full of excitement and screaming moms and dads. Take a picnic and make the day of it. And as you learn the names of the players, you and your date can pick opposing teams and get downright enthusiastic being the best fans ever for a bunch of little boys you ever saw before.

The key we are looking for in finding fun date ideas is to find fun where it jumps out at us. By letting fun just spring up and surprise you and your date, it's like a buried treasure that only you and she know about. Other fun date ideas that take you places that are out of the way where fun and romance can spring into existence almost without warning are hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, fishing, camping, scuba diving, garage sale shopping or touring the Christmas lights at the holidays.

As you drive around with your sweetheart or other times as you prepare for your next date, look at every event and every location as a potential date location. A greenhouse can be a wonderful place to enjoy the flowers as they burst into life. Did you notice some historic homes as you passed them in one of the older parts of town? Well do some research and do a tour of historic locations in your community and learn more about the place you and she call home.

You will find if you turn on this side of your creative mind, the ideas will come so fast and furious, you will have to keep a journal. But when your date begins to get the idea that any outing with you is for sure going to be something new and exciting, that tells her just what you want her to know about you and that is that you are someone who will always keep romance an adventure from the first date until you two are white water rafting as senior citizens.

Dating Tip #1

Be Prepared - Some great dates are the ones that are spontaneous, but if you make every date spontaneous then things are bound to go wrong! Take the time to think through your date, plan for any problems like taking an umbrella with you if it is a long walk to the car and the sky looks bleak, or make sure that the restaurant you are going to does not have a hen night on when you are going for a quiet romantic meal...

Dating Tip #2

Chivalry Is A Must - If you are a man then you should be chivalrous and hold the door for your date, let her order first, pull out her chair - be a gentleman! If you are a woman then you have to let him! It is no wonder that the old fashioned manners and politeness are dying out when people are so stubborn they think it is wrong to let others hold the door or pay the bill!

Dating Tip #3

Make Eye Contact - Although some people feel uncomfortable with making eye contact, it is eye contact that shows you are interested in your date. People tend to keep eye contact when listening but not when talking to someone, try to make eye contact whenever possible (if you are interested in them that is!).
